This Eastern Fox Squirrel sciurus niger hangs on the side of a live large oak tree.. In the southeastern states the squirrel can be black with a white face. Although cute, they are related to rats and they can stash nuts like the best of them. ~ thanks to Dr T. To see video click here.

A sea bird flew close but swiftly by on a windy night. I turned quick and followed the bird with the camera. This created a cool movement effect on the tree tops. It is traveling to the left.

I hadn’t taken any pictures for almost two months with the exception of a food shoot for a local magazine. When on Friday afternoon I looked out to see these two swans well, a swimming. Luckily they stayed around and actually came close enough to give me some great shots and a short video.

This little lizard I named Lorenzo is really small (under 2″) but has a particularly long tail. He crawled closer and closer to me, climbed the table right in front of me for some great photos and video as well. Watch him use the table as his personal jungle gym by clicking the video.
