There are 75 different species and varieties of snowdrops. They are all white. Snowdrops often poke through a covering of snow. In the South, snowdrops may even bloom all winter long. Snowdrops (like other members of the Amaryllis family) are normally avoided by deer and rodents. Photo taken in a series March 3, 2007 with Canon G7.

How beautiful, especially with the big live oak in the background!
